Our Lord! Shower us with perseverance, and let us die while submitting ˹to You˺.”...
Allah has designed this world in such a way that every human being has to face difficulties in his whole life. During the time of these hardships (either financial, spiritual, religious or social), it has been strongly suggested to show patience to endure these challenges. The Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H and the verses of Quran have revealed the importance of patience on many occasions. Allah says:
وَلَـنَبۡلُوَنَّكُمۡ بِشَىۡءٍ مِّنَ الۡخَـوۡفِ وَالۡجُـوۡعِ وَنَقۡصٍ مِّنَ الۡاَمۡوَالِ وَالۡاَنۡفُسِ وَالثَّمَرٰتِؕ وَبَشِّرِ الصّٰبِرِيۡنَۙ۔
And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast,
Do not let your suffering go to waste, learn, and extract maximum reward from it. In Islam Sabar is a tremendous act of worship and is reserved only for those who are tested with adversity. See it as an opportunity to build your character and toughen your mind.
